CANRA plays a central role in promoting cohesive and effective regulation of Naturopathic Doctors in Canada through:
Standardized National Competencies: Developing and maintaining national competencies and assessment standards for Naturopathic Doctors to ensure consistent, safe, and ethical practice across all regulated jurisdictions.
Examinations: Overseeing national entry-to-practice examinations and assessments, including Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) programs, to support qualified professionals in providing exemplary care.
Collaborative Regulation and Policy: Working with regulatory bodies to develop and advocate for national standards of practice and regulatory policies that protect public health while supporting the professional growth of Naturopathic Doctors.
Regulator Resources: Providing resources for new regulatory authorities, council members, and registrars to strengthen regulatory frameworks and uphold public trust in naturopathic healthcare.
